Hello all,
We are flying through the year and already quarter of it has gone past! Working and keeping busy lately seems to make time pass even quicker it’s scary! I do like to keep busy, but at the same time I think we all wish we had those little extra hours left in a day. So, latest updates from me, it’s the same old really.. keeping busy working, spending time with friends and keeping up with the acting classes during the week. After an 8 hour shift and once a week, I would catch a train and then come out of the class by 9:30/10pm depending on how many of us attend that evening or what is the plan for each lesson. You have to keep your energy levels up so when you haven’t eaten since 12/1pm that can take its toll by the end. So I try and bring light snacks or grab something to eat on the go before I start. It took a while to get used to at first and it’s usually a few weeks before your body gets accustomed to those very late hours. At least it gives me some idea what to expect from long hours of shooting when the dream happens..
I’ve also taken up swimming. Something I used to do as a kid once a week followed by our treat at McDonald’s! Some of the best memories as a child. Then that was followed by bowling or heading off to the arcade for the rest of the day. I’ve never been a strong swimmer anyway, but making the most of it now so I’m beach ready for this years holiday. Tenerife baby! If I’m honest, yes I haven’t gone anywhere hot in a long, long time compared to most people. Two years max is long enough to wait for the next one – try 15 plus years! Don’t ask. I guess it’s just a lot to deal with within those years and lots of missed opportunities. So now is to time to get that long awaited tan! Going at the time when it’s still fairly expensive isn’t ideal but having friends who know when to go and what to budget on comes in very handy haha! Being frugal isn’t currently an option in this climate. It’s all about saving as much as you can these days.
When it comes to travelling, I always go with a group of friends or even with one friend is good. Solo travelling is such a common thing at the moment. It’s known to be such an amazing experience and for those who are still in the process of soul searching and finding themselves, but I’m not so sure I could do it – even though technically I’d be with a travelling group. I don’t think I have the guts! A friend of mine went alone recently to Budapest and he absolutely loved every minute of it.
However, I’m happy to take trips alone in the UK. Just need to make a plan around my busy, single life schedule. Just got to keep plodding on..
Tenerife, I’m counting down the days. I’m ready for you!
Catch up soon 😊
